This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Carson Pond, for example Craighead Lake; a great place to camp here at Carson Pond is Tellico Plains Koa. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Carson Pond get into the 80's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, regularly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 40's with temperatures at Carson Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout       winter nights. Not far from Carson Pond, you'll locate Madisonville Lake which is a picturesque lake, and Carson Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Little Tellico Campground is a splendid local campground. A good deal of precipitation falls at Carson Pond; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling next to Carson Pond is Wildcat                  Creek, and playing golf is lots of fun at Madisonville Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Carson Pond you can take a hike along the Conasauga Falls Trail, and if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Sweetwater is a nice choice. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Carson Pond. Henderson Branch is a great local stream, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Conasauga Falls Trail. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Tellico River, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Ivy Trail.
