Stay the night at Horse Cove Campground, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Stiffknee Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Great
Smoky Mountains has to offer. You might want to pay a visit to Shaw Grave Gap since you're here at Calderwood Lake, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cheoah River. This lake is so wonderful. Calderwood Lake is a nice
place to camp, Abrams Creek Campground is a nice place; not far from Calderwood Lake you get some tremendous water scenery at Calderwood Dam.
Throughout the summer here at Calderwood Lake, high temperatures usually get into the
80's with overnight lows in the 60's. During the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Calderwood Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
