     Burns Lake is a nice lake to visit. Do stop at Swafford Pond in the vicinity of Burns Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns & Suites Dayton. If you're here, you might as well go to Penitentiary Gulf, and why not camp at Mountain Glen RV Park if you're here at Burns Lake. But wait, there's more to do close to Burns Lake. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Dayton is a perfect location to spend a night or two; you  
   can take a little trip to Burns Lake Dam while you're here at Burns Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Burns Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Burns Lake throughout the wintertime commonly fall into the 20's. Burns Lake is a beautiful lake in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
 
               These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Burns Lake is right by the Laurel-Snow Trail, and naturally Bracken Branch flows through this neighborhood. Burns Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A lovely lake like Pine Lake next to Burns Lake is a nice site to take a look at, and Blue water Campground is a good local campground.
You just should fancy the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on McGill Creek; if you come at the right time of year, Roaring Creek offers some tremendous whitewater.
