There are pleasant locations to explore along the Fooshee Pass Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Athens here at Breeden Pond. The high level of rain makes Breeden Pond a pretty wet place; most of the rain falls through March, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.       Lakes? Sure, Pierce Pond is around here, and Holiday Inn Express ATHENS is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Cotton Port Marina and Campground, and Harmon Hollow is a glorious site to go to. There are other sites here than Breeden Pond, for example Nagle Lake; Piney River is a good whitewater spot nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Breeden Pond. If you need a                  spot to stay Comfort Inn Athens is a good choice, and Rockholt Spring is a striking place to go to while you're at Breeden Pond. Camping at Cottonport Fish N Camp is always a fine experience, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moccasin Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Breeden Pond. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Breeden Pond descend into the 20's.
