Anderton Branch flows through this area, and Bomar Lake Dam has brilliant water scenery. For the period of the warm months, highs usually are in the 80's at Bomar Lake, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Bomar Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.       There's so much to do here at Bomar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lynchburg Wilderness RV Park is a magnificent spot for that; this is a popular site for folks from Shelbyville. Bomar Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is August. Bomar Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Oaks Campground is a good local campground, and after                  a long day outdoors Executive Inn is a delightful spot to spend a night or two.
