If you are in Marion county it's always a good idea to stop by Blue Hole. Paddling on Miller/Long Island Creek is so much fun, and Upper Bar is close at hand, and is a wonderful location. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Blue Hole; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Blue Hole.

| | played at Sequatchie Valley Golf & Country Club, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Kimball. Hess Motor Inn is a delightful place to get some rest, and Clute Hill is clearly visible from Blue Hole. Near Blue Hole you hit upon the Winding Stairs which is a glorious hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Blue Hole that you need to camp here for a while, Kimball Campground is a delightful spot for that.

just come on down to Blue Hole. If time allows, Russell Cave National Monument is a national park worth visiting, and the River Mont Cave Historical Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. Lodge Point is around here and always great
to stop at; Blue Hole is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Delaney's Travel Trailer Park is a magnificent local campground. A good deal of rainfall falls at Blue Hole; March is when you get the most rain here, and June
is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. A quick visit to Irondale Branch in the vicinity of Blue Hole is a perfect idea; soar down the rapids of Warren Creek in a kayak.
