    In Tennessee there are many beautiful lakes, Big Ridge Lake is one of them. Big Ridge Lake usually gets a lot of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is commonly the driest month. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Big Ridge Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Big Ridge Lake. At Big Ridge Lake you always meet  
   someone from La Follette, and why not take a little visit to Blue Springs Branch while you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Big Ridge Lake to make out the water at Big Ridge Recreation Dam; after a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Clinton is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There's so much to do here at Big Ridge Lake that you need
 
               to camp here for a while, Camper Clubs Of America is a good location for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Deer Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Big Ridge Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cave Spring. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Big Ridge Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hickory Star.
So many cool things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just phenomenal. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not take a look at Watercress Pond near Big Ridge Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Powell. Big Ridge Lake is one of the lakes here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Cumberland River - Clear Fork, and do take a hike on the River Bluff Trail. This place, Big Ridge Lake, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. There are other spots here than Big Ridge Lake, for example Thunder Hollow Lake, and a glorious location is Dark Hollow.

People who've hiked the trail along the Clinch River just downstream of Norris Dam could tell you about how good this place is for spring wildflowers. 3. 2 miles of trail with a nice blend of flat easy walking along the river coupled with a bit of climbing and a ridgeline hike back to the car makes for a good workout--but one you'll hardly notice due to the grand views of flowers and scenery.

Don't give up when you first start this trail because you'll see only a few flowers along the first 1/2 mile. Beyond that, you'll think you've entered some kind of wildflower garden. Honest--the displays are that good.
