Go to Big Ridge Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Take a hike on the Deer Trail, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to observe at Big Ridge Recreation Dam near Big Ridge Lake. If you're here at Big Ridge Lake, you could pop by Blue Springs Branch, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by La Follette. This lake is so wonderful. Camper Clubs Of America is a fine local campground; a wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Powell.

Hiking along the River Bluff Trail is magnificent fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Hickory Star is a tremendous place to camp. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Big Ridge Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
