Camping at Big Creek Lake is splendid fun, Kimball Campground is a splendid local campground, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Big Fiery Gizzard Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Little Fiery Gizzard Creek in close proximity to Big Creek Lake, and why not take a little tour to Fults Creek since you're here. Throughout the summer highs here at Big Creek Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight       lows sink down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Big Creek Lake are in the 20's. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at B Lakes near Big Creek Lake; after a long day outdoors Best Western Smokehouse Lodge is a fine place to spend a night or two.
