Ault Lake is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain; most of the rain falls during July, and the driest month of the year is September. There are some good whitewater spots on Little Pigeon River - West Prong, and lots of people from Morristown come here. The warmest time of the year at Ault Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course,       commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Ault Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Cove Creek offers some fine whitewater, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a glorious panorama of Sourwood Mountain from Ault Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Ault Lake is in the neighborhood of Rocky Gap which is undeniably worth                  checking out, and why not camp at Knoxville East KOA if you're here at Ault Lake. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Ault Lake has it all. Go for a hike on the Bunches Trace; camping is available at Kodak Koa Kampground. A round of golf at nearby Lost Creek Golf Club is a great way to kill some time; dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn & Suites Sevierville at Stadium Drive.
