The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Ault Lake, and the night is rather cooler of course, typically in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Ault Lake through the wintertime mostly drop into the 20's. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a very perfect place to go to in close proximity to Ault Lake; after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn &       Suites Sevierville at Stadium Drive is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place to check out right next door to Ault Lake is Rocky Gap, and Sourwood Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Ault Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Cove Creek, and if you need a spot to stay Motel 6 is a magnificent choice. So many fun things to do at Ault Lake, so little time. Camping at Kodak Koa Kampground                  is always a tremendous experience, and close by you hit upon the Bunches Trace which is a splendid hiking trail. Camping is available at Smoky Mountain Campground, and while you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Lost Creek Golf Club. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ault Lake a wet place; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is September.
