There are some excellent whitewater spots on Conasauga River and if you get bored of Anstis Lake you could also check out nearby Fillauer Lake. Classic Suites is a good place to spend a night or two. A trip to Anstis Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Hardwick Spring and Obed Wild & Scenic River is a wonderful national park. This lake is so wonderful.

In the summer months at Anstis Lake highs are usually in the 80's, nights are a bit cooler of course, usually in the 60's. The cold days of winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures
at Anstis Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Plenty of precipitation falls at Anstis Lake, the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, the driest month of the year is October.
