Akers Lake is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Throughout the days of summer at Akers Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's while Akers Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. If you need a site to stay Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park is a tremendous       choice; not far from Akers Lake you'll stumble on Duvall Pond which is a lovely lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Best Western Albany Garden Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest, and Akers Lake Dam is a place that is near Akers Lake. That right there is loads of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has it all. Get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Obey River - West Fork; camping                  is available at Deep Valley Recreational Vehicle Park. Akers Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here while October is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Huffakre Fork is a stream you can have a look at during your stay, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Dale Hollow Lake. Be careful coming to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again.
