    Akers Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Akers Lake is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Obey River - East Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot in the vicinity of Akers Lake; a quick trip to Huffakre Fork is without doubt a perfect idea. Akers Lake gets a large amount of water; March is when you get the most rain here, and October is the month with the least moisture.
So many exciting
 
   things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not enough time. Why not camp at Standing Stone State Park since you're here at Akers Lake; if you need a site to stay Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park is a pleasant choice. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Obey River - West Fork, and do stop by Akers Lake Dam if you're here. So many amusing things to do here at Akers Lake, too splendid to be true.
High
 
               temperatures at Akers Lake during the summer are in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Akers Lake. Camping is available at Deep Valley Park, and a splendid nearby hotel is Best Western Albany Garden Inn.
