    Ackers Lake is a lake worth visiting. The high level of precipitation makes Ackers Lake a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Throughout the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Ackers Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Ackers Lake plunge into the  
   20's.
Very nice water scenery is available at Old Lock and Dam Number Four near Ackers Lake, and while you're here, you could stop at Dry Fork Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Ackers Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Ebaneezer Campground is a nice location to camp nearby, and if you get bored of Ackers Lake you could also check out nearby Kirkpatrick Lake. Drift down the rapids of Bledsoe Creek in a kayak, and Comfort Inn Gallatin
 
               is a pleasant location to get some rest.
Stay the night at Shady Cove Resort; dry warm beds await you at GuestHouse Inn Gallatin. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Ackers Lake. A lake nearby is L A Green Lake, and Ackers Lake is a spot with many visitors from Nashville-Davidson—Murfreesboro.

Bledsoe creek was a real let down. The only time to go to this is if there has been atleast one inch of rain the previous day before you go. When we got there it was a dried up creek bed so there was no rafting for us that day; we just had to settle on practicing our rolls....

Small, well kept campground that is privately owned and operated. Owners on site most of the time. During the season there is free live entertainment two or three nights a weeks. Always free coffee in the office for visitors. Front desk staff is friendly and can help you plan your stay in Nasvhille. Tours and show tickets available at the front desk as well.

Lesters Lake is no longer there. It was drained years ago after a girl was killed swimming there when she swam into an area inhabited by cottonmouth snakes and was bitten several times....Do you remember swimming at Lesters Lake...1970...?...
