Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Black Hills is great!. The warmest time of the year at Ward Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 30's while Ward Reservoir night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Ward Reservoir       is located in the Black Hills. Jewel Cave National Monument is one of the destinations near Ward Reservoir that are perfect to go to, and don't leave Ward Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Lost Cabin Trail. Ward Reservoir beyond doubt is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Camping is available at Custer's Gulch RV Park and Campground, and a great close by hotel is State Game Lodge VA. McClure Dam is a site that is near Ward Reservoir,                  and you can go for a hike on the Sunday Gulch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Legion Lake Lodge VA is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and great hiking is available along the Paha Sapa Trail. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more cool things to do here in the Black Hills. If you came for an overnight stay Echo Valley Park is a pleasant spot to camp, and if you get bored of Ward Reservoir you could also have a look at nearby Ventling Reservoir.
