People from Vermillion love to come to Lake Wakonda, needless to say you could also go to Marindahl Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Lake Montogomery, and Prairie Inn is a great place to get some rest. At Lake Wakonda you don’t see much rain; the wettest       month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. Yeah, come here to Lake Wakonda for a tremendous time. All our national parks are good places to stop at, and Missouri National River & Recreation Area is no exception, and why not camp at Sportsman Resort RV Park if you're here at Lake Wakonda. At Lake Wakonda through the summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
