Turtle Lake is mostly a reasonably dried out site; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most, and December is when it's the driest. For the duration of the warm months at Turtle Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Turtle Lake dipping       down into the-10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Turtle Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lynmar Resort and Campgrounds is a great local campground; you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Johnson Lake. During your journey to Turtle Lake you'll meet some folks from Brookings for sure, and Kozy Motel is a good location to get some rest.
