Why not stop by Thompson Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. The Black Hills scenery is always beautiful. High temperatures at Thompson Reservoir through the long summer days are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Thompson Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. May this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. So much cool stuff to do here in the Black Hills, too great to be true. Reno Gulch Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to, and the Sunday
Gulch Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Hill City/Mt. Rushmore, and Little Thompson Draw is another great spot to have a look at nearby.

Again, in a tent, you hear it all. Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!... |

 | 15 miles away Been here more than I can count. The kids always love feeding the fish (trout ponds). The food is delicious. For a really good time, fish for your dinner. It's guaranteed fresh(you caught it) & they cook it up for you or pack it to go. A really nice campground with nice people running it. Very Clean....Excellent Campsite! Highly recommended and they even have onsite breakfast, lunch and dinner available on a cabin like cafe sitting on their own little pond.
