For the duration of the days of summer at Stockdale Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Stockdale Lake. Stockdale Lake is located in the Black Hills.       This lake is so wonderful. The Cathedral Spires Trail offers hiking at its best; the peak of Custer Mountain can be made out from Stockdale Lake. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is plentiful here in the Black Hills. Stockdale Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Bismark Lake Campground is a great site to camp nearby; a visit to Jewel Cave National Monument is recommended. Good hiking is available along the Paha Sapa Trail, and golf can                  be played at Rocky Knolls Golf Course. Stockdale Lake is frequently a pretty dried up location; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at Bismark Lake in close proximity to Stockdale Lake, it's a stunning lake, and you can stay the night at French Creek Ranch B&b. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Black Hills. You'll come across a wonderful lake called Stockade Lake near Stockdale Lake, and if you need a place to stay Sylvan Lake Lodge is a magnificent choice. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place!
