     And if that's not enough there's lots more cool things to do in the Black Hills. Rocky Knolls Golf Course is a golf course near Stockade Lake; if you're looking for a splendid trip, Jewel Cave National Monument is reasonably near. You just have to have a thing about Stockade Lake. If the weather is splendid here at Stockade Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cathedral Spires Trail, and here at Stockade Lake you can spot Custer Mountain. Have a good hiking  
   adventure along the Paha Sapa Trail; Stockade Lake is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Bismark Lake Campground is a nice site to camp nearby.
Stockade Lake is one of the lakes here in the Black Hills. Not much precipitation falls here at Stockade Lake; June is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little tour to Stockade Lake Dam since you're here at Stockade Lake, and Bismark
 
               Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Stockade Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Stockade Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Bismark Creek from Stockade Lake is uncomplicated, and you can stay the night at French Creek Ranch B&b. Just can't get enough of the Black Hills. After a long day outdoors Blue Bell Lodge VA is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Norbeck Trail.
Do take a look at Stockdale Lake in the vicinity of Stockade Lake, it's a gorgeous lake, and a perfect nearby hotel is Sylvan Lake Lodge.

Nice facility. Friendly, helpful staff. We just returned from 3 nights of tent-camping there. Only complaint- 16 hwy was a bit more active at night than we would hope. Again, in a tent, you hear it all.  Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!...
