This lake is located in the wonderful Black Hills. Stockade Lake is mostly a reasonably dried out place; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. Why not camp at French Creek Ranch B&b if you're here at Stockade Lake, and after a long day outdoors Sylvan Lake Lodge is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Bismark Lake       close to Stockade Lake, it's a pretty lake, and Rocky Knolls Golf Course is a golf course close by. While you're here at Stockade Lake, you could also have a look at scenic Lake of the Pines, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Norbeck Trail. This site is unbeatable, just check out all the fun things to do near Stockade Lake. Custer Mountain is a peak you can make out from Stockade Lake, and Stockade Lake Dam has wonderful water scenery.
