There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Slaughter Reservoir. While you're here at Slaughter Reservoir you can take a hike along the Big Hill Ski Trail, and camping is available at Spearfish City Campground. Dry warm beds await you at Ace Motel, and hey, Gotta ski right? Terry Peak is a nice site to do that. Slaughter Reservoir is generally a quite arid site; June is the month that gets the most       rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. South Branch Grummit Canyon Creek is a stream that you may run into while you're here; if you need a spot to stay Motel 6 is a good choice. Through the summertime at Slaughter Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Slaughter                  Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. Going for a hike along the Bear Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Spearfish Creek has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby.
