If you are in Jones county it's always a good idea to stop by Sheriff Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Kelly Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two. You're sure to run into some fine folks from Pierre here; a good place to camp here at Sheriff Reservoir is West Bend State Recreation. High temperatures at Sheriff Reservoir during the months of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 60's.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pierre/Fort Pierre, Sd is a great spot to get some rest, and Sheriff Dam has brilliant water scenery. Sheriff Reservoir is pretty dried out generally; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. | |
