So much amusing stuff to do in the Black Hills, not sufficient time. There's so much to do here at Sheridan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Northside Campground is a brilliant place for that, and the panorama of Bluelead Mountain is gorgeous. The Black Hills scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do in the vicinity of Sheridan Lake. If       you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Mt. Rushmore Memorial is a delightful choice; hiking is a popular thing to do around Sheridan Lake; Willow Creek - Rushmore Trail is a great local trail. High temperatures at Sheridan Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sheridan Lake. Sheridan                  Lake is a spot with many visitors from Spearfish, and you can go for a hike on the Flume Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Black Hills. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sheridan Lake has to offer, you can camp at North Cove Campground; don't forget to take a good little trip to Horse Creek. Sheridan Lake is pretty dried up usually; June is the month that gets the most rain while January is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Horse Thief Lake Trail; after a long day outdoors Best Western Four Presidents Lodge is a good place to spend a night or two.
