A great close by hotel is Keystone Boardwalk Inn and Suites; good hiking is available along the Flume Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Northside Campground, and if you're going to from Spearfish, you won't be the only one. Looking for something in the vicinity of Sheridan Lake? Horse Thief Lake is around here, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Four Presidents Lodge is a great choice. Sheridan       Lake is located in the Black Hills. At Sheridan Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sheridan Lake; Willow Creek - Rushmore Trail is a fine local trail; you're most likely hooked on lakes, Pactola Reservoir is one of those close by. And that's not all the things to do here in the Black Hills. Bluelead Mountain is scenic                  and can be made out from Sheridan Lake; a trip to Mount Rushmore National Memorial is recommended. Camping at North Cove Campground is always a brilliant experience, and there's brilliant hiking along the Horse Thief Lake Trail. At Sheridan Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sheridan Lake drop into the 0's. So many fun things in the Black Hills, just fantastic.
