If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Vermillion is a perfect choice, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Vermillion City the Bluffs Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Rose Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Obert Park Campground is a great local campground; the Ponca State Park Trails is a fine hiking trail nearby. Rose Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; of all the       months in a year June is the one with the most rain while January is typically the driest month. After a long day outdoors Vermillion Super 8 Motel is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Camping at Windmill Campground is always a delightful experience, and at Rose Lake you always meet someone from Vermillion. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Rose Lake.
