    It's always fun to stop by Reno Gulch Reservoir. Reno Gulch Reservoir is located in the Black Hills. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Black Hills will keep you coming back again and again. Near Reno Gulch Reservoir you come across the Sunday Gulch Trail which is a nice hiking trail. High temperatures at Reno Gulch Reservoir during the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the  
   30's with temperatures at Reno Gulch Reservoir dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
Go for a hike on the Willow Creek Trail; Thompson Reservoir is a good lake close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Black Hills. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Hill City/Mt. Rushmore is a magnificent choice, and Reno Gulch Reservoir is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Black Hill Camp and Breakfast is a perfect location
 
               to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Major Lake near Reno Gulch Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Reno Gulch Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Mount Rushmore KOA.
Black Hills National Forest is worth going to, and if you have the time, Jewel Cave National Monument is a national park worth visiting. Yeah, come here to Reno Gulch Reservoir for a tremendous time. Going for a hike on the Lost Cabin Trail is always a splendid adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Hill City. Reno Gulch Reservoir is a good location of typical rain; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.

Nice facility. Friendly, helpful staff. We just returned from 3 nights of tent-camping there. Only complaint- 16 hwy was a bit more active at night than we would hope. Again, in a tent, you hear it all.  Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!...

I can only speak about Deerfield lake and it is beautiful. The fishing is also good. Have caught my limit of trout on every visit. It's not crowded at all. A very nice place to get some peace and quiet....

Been here more than I can count. The kids always love feeding the fish (trout ponds). The food is delicious. For a really good time, fish for your dinner. It's guaranteed fresh(you caught it) & they cook it up for you or pack it to go. A really nice campground with nice people running it. Very Clean....Excellent Campsite! Highly recommended and they even have onsite breakfast, lunch and dinner available on a cabin like cafe sitting on their own little pond. Very quiet and peaceful setting even during the Rally (as quiet as you can expect :))
