There's splendid hiking along the Flume Trail, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Town 'n Country is a nice choice. Around Red Dale Gulch Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June, and January is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Red Dale Gulch Reservoir typically tend to be in the 70's.
