     The beauty of Lake of the Pines attracts many people from all around. This lake is one of the great places here in the Black Hills. Visiting Jewel Cave National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and there's some flowing water close by, Glen Erin Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake of the Pines you can take a hike along the Cathedral Spires Trail, and lakes are such
 
   calm locations, why not have a look at Stockdale Lake. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. There are other sites here than Lake of the Pines, for example Stockade Lake, and Custer Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Lake of the Pines. All year is a perfect time in the Black Hills if you go for the outdoors. French Creek Ranch B&b is a tremendous local campground; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Paha Sapa Trail.
At Lake
 
               of the Pines you don’t see much rain; June is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is January. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Black Hills, too delightful to be true. If the weather is great here at Lake of the Pines, you can go for a hike along the Sunday Gulch Trail; Rocky Knolls Golf Course is a golf course close by. Lake of the Pines is a good place to visit for more than one day, Broken Arrow Campground is a good place to camp nearby; if you need a place to stay State Game Lodge is a glorious choice.
Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Lake of the Pines, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake of the Pines temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Custer Days Inn; Haselrodt Spring is an inspiring place to take a look at while here.

Nice facility. Friendly, helpful staff. We just returned from 3 nights of tent-camping there. Only complaint- 16 hwy was a bit more active at night than we would hope. Again, in a tent, you hear it all.  Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!...
