    The beauty of Norbeck Lake is reason enough to stop by. At Norbeck Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is January. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Black Hills. Rifle Pit Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and if you fancy a little side visit, try Curley Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday  
   Inn Express Hotel & Suites Hot Springs, and a journey to Jewel Cave National Monument is worthwhile.
Visit Cold Spring Creek since you're here at Norbeck Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Norbeck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Elk Mountain Campgrounds is a brilliant local campground; not far from Norbeck Lake you'll find Cold Brook Reservoir which is a striking lake. Norbeck Lake is a beautiful lake in the Black Hills.

               available at Nobeck Dam next to Norbeck Lake, and going for a hike on the Centennial Trail is always a great adventure. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do near Norbeck Lake. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Hot Springs is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and Elk Mountain is a peak you can see from Norbeck Lake.
These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Black Hills. There are other sites here than Norbeck Lake, for example Cold Brook Lake, and why not take a look at Lookout Point also if you're here. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. Bison Flats is a beautiful location any time of year, and tremendous hiking is available along the Paha Sapa Trail. Through the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Norbeck Lake; the night is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Norbeck Lake are in the 0's.

Nice facility. Friendly, helpful staff. We just returned from 3 nights of tent-camping there. Only complaint- 16 hwy was a bit more active at night than we would hope. Again, in a tent, you hear it all.  Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!...
