Go to Mud Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Mud Lake is a beautiful lake in the Black Hills. What would winter be without some skiing at Terry Peak, and a nice close by hotel is Black Hills Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful.
This lake is so wonderful. Spearfish Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Iron Creek Trail. So many amusing things in the Black Hills, just striking. A

| | short tour to Mix Spring is always worthwhile, and Bee Draw is also a pleasant location to explore. There are plenty of folks from Spearfish here at Mud Lake, and Deadwood Super 8 Motel is a great place to get some rest.

Through the summertime at Mud Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 30's; night lows in the 0's for Mud Lake.
