A visit to Mitchell Lake is always a good idea. So many entertaining things to do at Mitchell Lake, so little time. Mitchell Lake is right by the Willow Creek Trail, and if the weather is wonderful, you get a fine sight of Bishop Mountain from Mitchell Lake. You could also check out Major Lake if you're here at Mitchell Lake; it's close by; The Lodge at Palmer Gulch is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Again, in a tent, you hear it all. Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!... |

 | 17 miles away I can only speak about Deerfield lake and it is beautiful. The fishing is also good. Have caught my limit of trout on every visit. It's not crowded at all. A very nice place to get some peace and quiet.... |
