| | Medicine Lake is a saline lake...salt water. I doubt if it has any fish. In the 1930's my grandad started to sell medicine Lake crystals...dried salt from the lake. People with bad skin infections would come here and often be cured. A pavilion on the shore held dances every Saturday night. As a kid we went to watch the farmers dancing while our grandad did his business...he was a farm machine dealer in the nearby town of Florence. Those were wonderful days. My grandmother took my aunt and a bunch of town kids with us to swim. Says K.M. Schimke
