A visit to Larive Lake is always a good idea. Not much rain falls here at Larive Lake; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Larive Lake is one of the lakes here in the Black Hills. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Larive Lake, you could also explore stunning Cold Brook Reservoir, and Larive Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Larive Lake Resort is a perfect

What a place this is for outdoors people. Cold Brook Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Norbeck Trail. Battle Mountain is lovely and can be made out from Larive Lake; on a good day you can take a hike along the Paha Sapa Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Black Hills. Cold Brook is a good local stream; Allen Ranch Tipi and Campgrounds is a fine campground | |

Jewel Cave National Monument is a good national park. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a wonderful lake called Cold Brook Lake near Larive Lake; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Centennial
Trail. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Black Hills. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Hot Springs is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and enjoy a round of golf at Southern Hills Golf Course.

beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Hot Springs, and Cold Brook Canyon is nearby, and is a delightful spot. High temperatures at Larive Lake during the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down
to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Larive Lake dip into the 0's.
