Lakota Lake is located in the Black Hills. Lakes are magnificent; Center Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Lakota Lake; Lakota Dam is pretty. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Black Hills has to offer. Take a hike on the Blackberry Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Center Lake. Life's too short       to enjoy all the cool things close to Lakota Lake. If you need a place to stay Roosevelt Inn Of Keystone is a good choice, and Lakota Lake is right by the Iron Mountain Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Lakota Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lakota Lake. Lakota Lake is usually a rather dry place; the wettest month of the year                  is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Iron Creek Trail, and a perfect close by hotel is Travelodge Keystone. Buffalo Billy's Campground is a fine local campground, and some of the water nearby flows, like Toll Gate Creek. Having a good time in the Black Hills is trouble-free. A glorious location to pop by in the vicinity of Lakota Lake is Greyhound Gulch, and a visit to Mount Rushmore National Memorial is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful.
