     If you get bored of Lake (historical) Emeline, you could also visit close by Lake (historical) Como, and Windmill Campground is a fine campground nearby. Prairie Inn is a good place to get some rest; Lake (historical) Emeline is not the only place close by, Rose Lake is a close by lake. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Lake (historical) Emeline has it all. If you came for an overnight stay Obert Park Campground is a great location  
   to camp, and you're sure to bump into some friendly people from Vermillion here.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Vermillion SD; a quick spree to Baptist Creek is definitely a great idea. Summertime highs at Lake (historical) Emeline usually tend to be in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake (historical)
 
               Emeline fall into the 0's. It is very arid here at Lake (historical) Emeline generally; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January.

I am impressed most with how restful my stay was. Interstate noise seemed distant, no railroads or airports, amenities were within a 1/2 mile, and we enjoyed visiting the world renowned Shrine to Music, on the University of SD, in Vermillion. We also enjoyed biking to Spirit Mound, where Lewis and Clark went to survey the surrounding lands. I am a couple of friends stayed a few summers ago, and this just brings back fond memories. Shadey sites, and places to tent, along with seemingly endless supply of hot water, was just what the doctor ordered on that trip. No doubt, I'd go back. ...
