Dry Lake is located in the Black Hills. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Dry Lake with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Dry Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Dead Ox Creek flows through this vicinity, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Spearfish Creek. This lake is so wonderful.       While you're here at Dry Lake you can play some golf at Lead Country Club, and Deadhorse Gulch is positively a splendid place to explore. So many entertaining things to do here in the Black Hills, too great to be true. Dry Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Rod and Gun Campground is a pleasant local campground; do take a hike on the Pettigrew Trail. It is very arid here at Dry Lake mostly; the month of June is the wettest with most of the                  rain, and January is when it's the driest. All year is a nice time in the Black Hills if you adore the outdoors. Camping at Timon Campground is always a nice experience, and Clayton Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. A pleasant nearby hotel is Spearfish Travelodge; the Rim Rock Trail offers hiking at its best. Everybody close by loves skiing at Terry Peak. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Spearfish-Northern Black Hills is a great site to spend a night or two, and Dry Lake is a location with many visitors from Spearfish.
