If you are traveling by, why not stop by Deerfield Lake. Man, is there loads of fun stuff to do in the Black Hills. Don't leave Deerfield Lake without first going for a hike along the Silver Arrow Trail; you'll come across a striking lake called Mud Lake. There's pleasant hiking along the Sunday Gulch Trail; you'll meet a lot of people from Spearfish here. All through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Deerfield Lake, and during summer nights

| | temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Deerfield Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Jewel Cave National Monument is a national park worth visiting, and camping at Deerfield Lake Boat Ramp Campground is always a perfect experience. that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Kinney Spring while you're here at Deerfield Lake, and a stunning lake like Pole Creek Pond Lake is
a splendid spot to explore. This lake is one of the great places here in the Black Hills. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. While you're here at Deerfield Lake it's a great idea to have a look at Reynolds Prairie;
Comfort Inn Hill City is a brilliant site to get some rest. You clearly ought to fancy the Black Hills. The skiing at Terry Peak is brilliant, and there are glorious sites to explore along the Rapid Creek Trail. Man, is there
a load of fun things to do right next door to Deerfield Lake. Deerfield Dam is not far at all from Deerfield Lake, and why not take a look at close by Dutchman Creek while you're here at Deerfield Lake. A good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Hill City/Mt. Rushmore, and camping is available at Custer Trail Campground.
