This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Hill City/Mt. Rushmore is a great place to spend a night or two, and Deerfield Dam has good water scenery. Don't leave Deerfield Lake without first going for a hike along the Sunday Gulch Trail, and Custer Trail Campground is a good local campground. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the       Black Hills. If you're going to Deerfield Lake from Spearfish, you won't be the only one, and the snow is delightful at Terry Peak. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Why not camp at Deerfield Lake Boat Ramp Campground if you're here at Deerfield Lake, and Kinney Spring is always fun to check out. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Deerfield Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently                  in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Deerfield Lake are in the 10's. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Black Hills is peerless! Go for a hike on the Silver Arrow Trail, and Dutchman Creek is close to Deerfield Lake and is always a bliss to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Hill City is a magnificent choice, and the views at Jewel Cave National Monument will blow your mind. Deerfield Lake is located in the Black Hills. Going for a hike on the Rapid Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure; everyone loves Reynolds Prairie.
