For the duration of the summertime months here at Deerfield Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Deerfield Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. Deerfield Lake is a location that is pretty waterless commonly; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily       June, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Having a great time in the Black Hills is easy. Stay the night at Deerfield Lake Boat Ramp Campground; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Hill City/Mt. Rushmore is a good place to spend a night or two. You'll meet a lot of folks from Spearfish here, and hey, Dutchman Creek is a great local stream. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the                  Black Hills. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deerfield Lake; Silver Arrow Trail is a good local trail, and why not check out Deerfield Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sunday Gulch Trail, and Kinney Spring is a wonderful local attraction. Deerfield Lake is a beautiful lake in the Black Hills. This lake is so wonderful. Very picturesque scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Terry Peak; tremendous hiking is available along the Rapid Creek Trail. Just can't get enough of Deerfield Lake. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Hill City is a tremendous choice. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Deerfield Lake has to offer, you can camp at Custer Trail Campground.
