Crooks Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The Pettigrew Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Crooks Lake; if you need a place to stay Black Hills Inn & Suites is a great choice. While you're here at Crooks Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Spearfish, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Rim Rock Trail. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Crooks Lake. The snow is great at Terry Peak,

| | and if you get bored of Crooks Lake you could also stop by close by Clayton Pond. Around Crooks Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through June this area sees the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Black Hills. is a tremendous place to camp. During the long summer days highs here at Crooks Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's while Crooks
Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Black Hills. A nice close by hotel is Deadwood Super 8 Motel, and Crooks Lake is not the only location nearby, Mud Lake is a nearby lake.

It's guaranteed fresh(you caught it) & they cook it up for you or pack it to go. A really nice campground with nice people running it. Very Clean....Excellent Campsite! Highly recommended and they even have onsite breakfast, lunch and dinner available on a cabin like cafe sitting on their own little pond.
