The Pettigrew Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Crooks Lake; if you need a place to stay Black Hills Inn & Suites is a great choice. While you're here at Crooks Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Spearfish, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Rim Rock Trail. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Crooks Lake. The snow is great at Terry Peak,       and if you get bored of Crooks Lake you could also stop by close by Clayton Pond. Around Crooks Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through June this area sees the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Black Hills. On a great day at Crooks Lake you can take a hike along the Iron Creek Trail, and there's whitewater on Spearfish Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. The Black Hills scenery                  is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Hanna Campground is a brilliant local campground; Crooks Tower is pretty and can be seen from here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Black Fox Campground is a tremendous place to camp. During the long summer days highs here at Crooks Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's while Crooks Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Black Hills.
