Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Black Hills. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Spearfish Creek. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more exciting things to do in the Black Hills. The Pettigrew Trail is a great hiking trail near Crooks Lake, and a good place to camp here at Crooks       Lake is Hanna Campground. Crooks Tower is uncomplicated to spot from Crooks Lake; Crooks Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Black Fox Campground is a tremendous local campground. Yeah, come here to Crooks Lake for a tremendous time. People from Spearfish love to come to Crooks Lake, and after a long day outdoors Deadwood Super 8 Motel is a good site to spend a night or two. Going for a hike along the Rim Rock Trail will let you absorb the                  natural beauty of this area, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Hickok House is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is wonderful here at Crooks Lake, you can go for a hike along the Iron Creek Trail, and the slopes of Terry Peak are so inviting noone can resist. Crooks Lake gets very little rainfall; through June this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Crooks Lake is located in the Black Hills. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Crooks Lake while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
