Medicine Lake is a good lake in the vicinity of Cooley Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Watertown here. There's so much to do here at Cooley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Codington County Memorial Park is a tremendous place for that. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Cooley Lake highs are commonly in       the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Cooley Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. Cooley Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Prop is a great local campground; if you need a place to stay Traveler's Inn Motel is a great choice.
