I spent most every Summer of my youth camping at Black Fox with my dad who is now deceased. It is a very special place for me and holds most of my youthful memories. Terry Peak Ski Area is positioned geographically to receive a substantial amount snowfall through the winter months. With elevations of 5,900-ft to over 7,000-ft. more snow can fall on Terry Peak than anywhere else in the region. It's common for snowfall predictions to exceed up to three times of what was anticipated or to receive snowfall at 5,500-ft and higher when snow wasn't expected at all. However it's important to remember that we can depend on snow at Terry Peak. With the efficient high-tec snowmaking system covering 60% of the mountain, good conditions are assured from the begriming to end of the season. Stay posted to our web site and live mountain cams for dependable surface and weather conditions. Remember: SNOW HAPPENS AT TERRY PEAK!...

Highly recommended and they even have onsite breakfast, lunch and dinner available on a cabin like cafe sitting on their own little pond. Very quiet and peaceful setting even during the Rally (as quiet as you can expect :))
