Clayton Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Black Hills. Lead Country Club is a golf course close to Clayton Pond; if you came to camp Black Fox Campground is a nice location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. | | quite dried up place; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. A short trip to Deadman Spring is always worthwhile, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Pettigrew Trail. heaps more to do in the neighborhood of Clayton Pond. A brilliant location right next door to Clayton Pond is Clayton Draw, and hiking along the Iron Creek Trail is splendid fun.
This lake is one of the great places here in the
Black Hills. There's so much to do here at Clayton Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hanna Campground is a pleasant site for that; do take a hike on the Rim Rock Trail. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful
here in the Black Hills. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Terry Peak, and Spearfish Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot close by.
At Clayton Pond all through the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and
throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Clayton Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
