If you like lakes and you're in this part of South Dakota you can check out Center Lake. Going for a hike on the Iron Mountain Trail is always a perfect adventure, and if you wish for a little side spree, try Potato Gulch. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Black Hills has to offer. There are good sites to explore along the Norbeck Trail; you don’t have to go far from Center Lake to spot the water at Center Lake Dam. Little Squaw Creek

You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the area close to Center Lake has to offer. Lake throughout the summer are in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Center Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you
might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Center Lake, and a perfect nearby hotel is Blue Bell Lodge. Center Lake is regularly a rather dried out site; the month with most of the rain is June; January meanwhile
is the driest month. Having a good time in the Black Hills is simple. If you came for an overnight stay Center Lake Campgrounds is a good site to camp; if you have time to spare, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a national
park worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. West French Creek Primitive Campground is a wonderful campground nearby; Center Lake is not far at all from Spearfish.

 | 16 miles away Nice facility. Friendly, helpful staff. We just returned from 3 nights of tent-camping there. Only complaint- 16 hwy was a bit more active at night than we would hope. Again, in a tent, you hear it all. Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!... |
