Canyon Lake is located in the Black Hills. So many amusing things to do here at Canyon Lake, too good to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Rapid City, and close by you hit upon the Flume Trail which is a good hiking trail. It is very dried out here at Canyon       Lake frequently; most of the rain falls throughout June; January on the other hand is the driest. The views at Mount Rushmore National Memorial will blow your mind, and if you've had enough of Canyon Lake, Sheridan Lake is nearby. Summertime highs at Canyon Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Canyon Lake                  tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Iron Creek Trail is always a great adventure; golf can be played at Meadowbrook Golf Course. So much fun stuff to do in the Black Hills, not enough time. There are brilliant spots to explore along the Iron Mountain Trail, obviously you could also stop at Red Dale Gulch Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Black Hills. If you need a place to stay Best Western Town 'n Country is a wonderful choice. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Canyon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cedar Canyon Wesleyan Camp. This lake is so wonderful.
