If you are in this part of South Dakota make sure to pay a visit to Cameron Pond. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Cameron Pond reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Cameron Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Cameron Pond is one of the lakes here in the Black Hills. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Twin Lakes;

It is very waterless here at Cameron Pond ordinarily; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January. Cameron Pond is not the only spot nearby, Pole Creek Pond Lake is a nearby lake. Again, in a tent, you hear it all. Didn't realize the alternate bathhouse was the one with all the remodel until our last day-very nice!!!!!... |
