For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Buffalo Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Buffalo Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. A nice close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Madison, and you'll meet a lot of people from Sioux Falls here. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious       place to camp here at Buffalo Lake is Madison Mobile Acres. If you need a place to stay Americ Inn is a splendid choice, and why not camp at Kamp Dakota while you're here at Buffalo Lake.
