The beauty of Woodson Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Lakeview Golf Club is a great way to kill some time, and people from Greenville love to come here. A lake close by is Freemans Lake; if you came to camp Springwood RV Park is a fine place to do that. What a place this is for outdoors people. You could also take a look at Lakeside Lake since you're here at Woodson Pond; it's nearby; Saluda River has a magnificent

Take a little tour to Craven Creek if you're here at Woodson Pond; Super 8 Motel - Piedmont/Greenville Area is a great place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Woodson Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Ivy Acres RV Park is a good location for that, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Greenville I-85@Augusta Road is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |

The Flowermill RV Park

we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |
