This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Congaree Swamp National Monument is a national park worth going to. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Winters Pond get into the 90's. Summer night lows
fall down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Winters Pond temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A good site for whitewater paddling near Winters Pond is Broad River, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Columbia.
