This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Rochester Lake Number Two since you're here at Whitewater Lake; it's nearby; if you come at the right time of year, Little River - North Fork offers some glorious whitewater. Take a hike on the Foothills Trail, and a good panorama of lovely Tommys Knob is available. What a location this is for outdoors folks. You'll meet a lot of people from Seneca here, and       if you came to camp Devils Fork State Park is a wonderful location to do that. Getting to Barbecue Branch from Whitewater Lake is trouble-free; a good nearby hotel is Jameson Inn Seneca. All the water falling down from the sky makes Whitewater Lake a wet location; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is April. All through the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Whitewater Lake, and all through summer                  nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Whitewater Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. After a long day outdoors Best Western Executive Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Whitewater Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Oconee Station state Historic Site is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Whitewater Lake.
