Go to Watsons Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. You're sure to bump into some wonderful people from Greenville here, and Merritts Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Watsons Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Paris Mountain State Park is a nice location

| | to do that, and playing golf is lots of fun at Southern Oaks Golf Course.
If you need a site to stay Jameson Inn Easley is a nice choice, and pleasant water scenery is available at Forest Drive Pond Dam near Watsons Pond. At Watsons Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Watsons Pond.

not all you can do here at Watsons Pond. A glorious close by hotel is Easley-Days Inn West Of Greenville/Clemson Area. There's so much to do here at Watsons Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Ivy Acres RV Park is a perfect
site for that. Whitewater paddling is great on Saluda River, and do pop by Brushy Creek Watershed 11 Lake, it's a picturesque lake.

This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |

we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |
