This lake is so wonderful. Newberry-Days Inn is a good place to get some rest; camping is available at Camp Kinard. Vances Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with a great deal of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is November. All through the summertime months at Vances Pond highs are commonly in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures       sink down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Vances Pond tend to be in the 30's. A wonderful nearby hotel is Quality Inn Newberry, and if you came for an overnight stay Saluda River Resort is a wonderful place to camp.
