Through the warmest time of the year at Vances Pond highs are regularly in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Vances Pond. Vances Pond usually gets lots of rain; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is November. This       lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Southern Inn, and if you're visiting from Newberry, you won't be the only one. Stay the night at Saluda River Resort; Leesville Lodge is a great site to get some rest.
