You'll need more than a day to discover everything Upper Legion Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sesquicentennial State Park, and naturally, this is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes, Old Heises Pond is a lake in close proximity. A tour to Congaree Swamp National Monument is recommended, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling       on Broad River. Pen Branch is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COLUMBIA-FORT JACKSON is a tremendous choice. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do close to Upper Legion Lake. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Sedgewood Country Club is around here, and you're possibly into lakes, Twin Lakes is one of those nearby. The scenery at Lake Katherine                  Dam near Upper Legion Lake is scenic. There's so much to do here at Upper Legion Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Capital City Campground is a delightful site for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Upper Legion Lake a wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain while November is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Legion Lake is not far at all from Columbia, and a delightful close by hotel is Columbia-Days Suites Garners Ferry. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Saluda River. High temperatures at Upper Legion Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
