If you came for an overnight stay Blue Star Camps is a splendid site to camp, and Buck Hollow is another glorious spot to visit nearby. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Trammell Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows through the winter for Trammell Lake tend       to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Oilcamp creek, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Black Mountain Trail. What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you're visiting Trammell Lake from Brevard, you won't be the only one; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hendersonville-Flat Rock,Nc is a good choice. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Saluda River; Caesars Head State                  Park is a brilliant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A range like the Saluda Mountains here at Trammell Lake is always pretty; dry warm beds await you at The Waverly Inn. Trammell Lake is a relatively wet place typically with a large amount of rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain while April is mostly the driest month. Some of the water nearby flows, like Bluff Branch, and hiking along the Mullinax Trail is glorious fun.
