Thornley Pond is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Black's Camp & Restaurant is a wonderful site to camp nearby; don't forget to take a look at Pinopolis Peninsula since you're here. Stay the night at Angel's Landing; an interesting thing to stop at next to Thornley Pond is Pinopolis Dam. The high level of precipitation makes Thornley Pond a quite wet place; the month of July is the wettest with most       of the rain; November on the other hand is the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Moncks Corner, Sc, and White Point Beach is rather close by if you're in a beach type of mood. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge St. Stephens is a fine choice; Thornley Pond is not the only spot nearby, Lake Moultrie is a nearby lake. Through the summer months highs                  here at Thornley Pond reach the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
