temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
A splendid nearby hotel is Red Roof Inn Gaffney; float down the rapids of Broad River in a kayak. Thicketty Mountain Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through March this area sees the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest.
